A Norwegian family vacationing on La Palma is thrown into chaos when a researcher discovers signs of an impending volcanic eruption that could create a massive tsunami. All entries contain spoilers. Using some real-life examples, this could have been a fascinating story about a tsunami. Instead, we need artificial drama on top of artificial drama, for no other reason than to irritate the viewer. The main protagonists’ family INTENTIONALLY separated from each other about eight times. The first time okay, the second time maybe, but the rest of the times made no sense other than creating false tension. I really wanted the whole family to die, including the child, because of their stupidity. Let’s sit here on the beach AFTER the tsunami started. Let’s leave the safety of my family and run into danger to save someone who said “hi” to me yesterday. Let’s continue our vacation AFTER a plane crash caused by a volcano. Scientists, doctors, engineers, politicians, and tourists were the dumbest people ever. I wanted them all dead.
