Day 3

After Breakfast leave to Hiruwaduna village

Hiriwaduna village - Hiriwadunna is a small hamlet full of natural beauty. The Hiriwadunna Lake and the green paddy fields enhance its natural beauty. During this village safari, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the village life as well as the warm hospitality of village folk. Visitors could walk on the bank of Hiriwadunna Lake and enjoy a fishing boat safari, passing paddy fields and Chena (slash& burn) cultivations. Visitors get to enjoy a bullock cart ride which used to be the main mode of transport until recently in this village. Thereafter, visitors will witness a cookery demonstration of Sri Lankan Cusine and enjoy a typical village rice and curry lunch served on a banana leaf.

Return to hotel and rest.

Day 4

Early Morning leave to Dambulla to enjoy a Hot air balloon ride

Leave to Sigiriya to climb Sigiriya Rock fortress

Sigiriya - Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. Day 5

After Breakfast leave to Kandy via Dambulla Cave temple

Dambulla Cave Temple - The Dambulla rock temple was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings, is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.

Day 6

Afternoon leave to enjoy a city tour in kandy city including Temple of tooth, gem shops, spice shops, bathik workshops etc.

Afternoon do a half day safari at Yala National Park

Yala National Park - The Yala National Park is approximately 1,259 sq. kms in extent and is the largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is located in the south eastern corner of the island and it has the added bonus of a scenic ocean frontage. The park is the home for wild elephants, wild Boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deer and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here.
