Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival at the airport and will be greeted by a representative, you will be served with a traditional villagers Drink which is “Thambili” known as King Coconut.

While you enjoy your drink we will take you to Negombo, where you will be staying for the first 02 days.

Day 2

You will commence the tour with breakfast by the pool side with the Executive Chef; he will introduce topics such as “Spices” and “Coconut” to the tour with ease and enthusiasm

The stay in Negombo will culminate with an exciting visit to “Lellama” or the Negombo Fish Market, where guests can pick up any fish of their choice and thereafter indulge to their hearts delight in an afternoon cookery class on seafood dishes with the chef

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel

The Culinary tour then heads towards the southern coastal town of Galle which is full of the ambience of its Dutch Colonial touches.

This day we will visit the home of the world renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. There, the Executive Chef of Jetwing Lighthouse, Galle, will host a talk on “Breadfruit and Jackfruit”.

At Jetwing Lighthouse, guests can wake up to a morning visit to the town’s vegetable and fruit markets. There will be a special cooking class on rice and curry.

Day 4

After breakfast you will be taken to visit another hotel located close by, JetwingKurulubedda

will enthrall new cooking experts with a fascinating lesson on the art of cooking milk rice (kiri bath) with its famous side dishes of AmbulThiyal, Pollos Curry and LunuMiris.

Day 5

After Breakfast we will leave Next to the charming hills of NuwaraEliya, Jetwing Warwick Gardens

A safe haven of solitude, the hotel is situated among lush mountain tops and a cool climate.

As guests enjoy Pink Guava and Black Pepper they can talk about “Pepper” with the bungalow manager and enjoy a “Planter’s Roast” dinner which is a by-gone era of British colonial rule.

Day 6

After Breakfast you could involve yourself in cooking lessons in the mountains long-lost home-made recipes on Chutney and Jam making as well as Goat Cheese making.

Later in the afternoon visit the Ambewela Dairy Factory.

Day 7

After Breakfast you will be taken to Sigiriya.

As the journey continues to Sigiriya you will be en routed with a stop at a Tea Factory where a cup of hot tea will be a refreshing experience to encounter Sri Lanka’s famed tea culture.

Your stay at Sigiriya will be the unusual opportunity of breakfast in the paddy fields.

Relax on arrival at the lush green Paddy Field surrounded rooms.

Day 8

After breakfast you could be engaged in a cooking class titled “Claypot Cooking”;

An afternoon of ginger biscuits and tea with the elephants on a safari to the Minneriya National Park.

Day 9

After breakfast leave to Negombo

the journey returns to its original destination of Negombo. Here you will be spending your Last Day of the Culinary Tour.

Leave to the airport for departure flight.
